What Is An Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a job with training where someone can earn while they learn and achieve recognised qualifications and essential skills.

The Food Industry Skills qualifications are designed to develop good food manufacturing knowledge, skills and processes for team members working in production and supply chain teams.

The units and activities are selected to support an individual’s roles, responsibilities and development needs whilst maintaining the integrity of the qualification criteria

What is the work like?

The training can support roles such as Food Handlers and support functions, Supervisors and Team Leaders, and production management to enable apprentices to identify potential improvement opportunities within their business and support business efficiency objectives, like waste reduction.
