Team Members at Bella Italia, Loughborough have said bonjourno! to the next stage of their career as they enrolled on to the Bella Italia Apprenticeship programme.

The Bella Italia team members are the first to sign up to the new Apprenticeship programme that is part of the investment that the Casual Dining Group (CDG) is making in its staff across all its signature brands as a way to recruit and retain high-calibre individuals to its business.

Remit Training will be working with the Bella Italia brand to deliver a bespoke apprenticeship programme that supports the career development for staff in kitchen, front of house and management roles.

Dan Hallam, Learning and Development Manager for Bella Italia, said: “Hospitality is a high paced industry that’s a lot of fun to work in. The great thing about the roles we offer is that you don’t need any qualifications to join us, you can get those while you’re training here and kick start your career.

“We’re passionate about progression and a lot of current employees, who started out as waiters or chefs, are now heading up a team, or working in senior management. It goes to show how far hard work and application can take you and we hope these young people will embrace the opportunity.”

New apprentice, Anna Wziatek, said: “I really want to do this for my future career. It will help me when I want to progress in the business and become a supervisor or team leader. I can’t wait to get started.”

Sue Pittock, Chief Executive at Remit Training said: “This is a great example of how a well-known brand is using Apprenticeships to help its team progress in their chosen career, as well as developing the key skills within the business to support Bella Italia’s continued drive to offer exceptional customer experiences.

“We work with thousands of apprentices across the country and have an excellent track record when it comes to working in the industry, helping leading brands to deliver a range of bespoke hospitality qualifications. I wish the Bella Italia team well in their qualifications.”
