It is the sector skills council of the automotive retail industry and the governing body for the Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) scheme. Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI)
The Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI) is the leading automotive trade body, representing franchised car and commercial vehicle dealers, independent garages, body shops, motorcycle dealers, petrol retailers and auction houses, who provide sales and services to motorists and businesses across the UK. Remit are the training arm of the RMI and were created to specifically meet the training needs of the automotive industry.
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) support and promote the interests of the UK automotive industry at home and abroad. Working closely with companies, SMMT acts as the voice of the motor industry, promoting its position to government, stakeholders and the media.

City & Guilds are the leading vocational education and training organisation, providing services to training provides employers and trainees across a variety of sectors to meet the needs off workplaces. City and Guilds certify many of Remits apprenticeship qualifications.
