Remit Training Celebrates a Successful Ofsted InspectionJanuary 6, 2015
Sue Pittock, Managing Director of a leading Apprenticeship Provider, Remit Training, along with its staff, learners and employers, was delighted with the excellent results received from Remit’s recent Ofsted inspection, which graded the national training provider as overall ‘Good Grade 2’ with outstanding leadership and management, setting a clear strategic direction for the future.
Remit Training provides government funded work based learning Apprenticeships in workforce development training within the automotive, IT, business, hospitality and health and social care industries. Over the last 12 months Remit has witnessed significant development and supports more than 3,000 apprentices, predominately aged between 16 and 18 years old with their career development. Remit is at the forefront of delivery in the automotive sector and has suitably developed an enhanced Apprenticeship model which is designed to save employers time and money when recruiting an apprentice.
Inspectors were extremely impressed with the ‘highly effective arrangements to improve teaching, learning and assessment, which are now having a positive impact on apprentices’ experience and success.’Out of a total of four categories looking at Remit’s overall effectiveness, outcomes for learners, quality of teaching, learning and assessment and the effectiveness of leadership and management, Remit received three ‘good’ judgements and an ‘outstanding’ grade for the effectiveness of leadership and management.
Of particular merit was the ‘widespread partnerships and memberships of an extensive range of national working groups which positively influence work positions for apprentices. Outstanding and productive work with employers and industry groups meets employer needs locally, regionally and nationally’ and ‘Remit’s arrangements for safeguarding Learners was recognised as ‘particularly strong.’
Managing Director Sue Pittock stated “In light of the context in which Training Providers are now inspected, we are extremely pleased to have achieved such a positive report. These judgements represent the best Ofsted report in Remit’s history and we are all very proud of the result and team effort demonstrated during the Inspection.”
Remit Training works closely with several large employers to design and deliver tailored programmes, aligned to business objectives and ensuring that employers are fully involved in the planning of learning and the reviewing of progress to meet their specific needs and work requirements.
