Remit Training Supports National Apprenticeship Week 2015March 6, 2015
On the 9th March 2015, an Apprenticeship celebration will once again descend on the nation.
To support this national campaign, Remit Training, one of the UKs largest Apprenticeship providers has organised a range of activities; including a Careers Day for 14-16 year olds, celebrations on social media along with an apprenticeship blog. All in a bid to raise awareness and celebrate Apprenticeships and the impact they have on individuals, businesses and the economy.
Remit’s Apprenticeship development team work closely with small to medium employers across England, Scotland and Wales in the automotive, IT and service industries, as well as manage the delivery of tailored Apprenticeship programmes for Starbucks and Stonegate Pubs.
In partnership with Ellis Guildford School, Remit Training will be hosting a Careers day at their IT Academy in Pride Park, Derbyshire.
The event will help to set the scene for a group of 14 and 15 year old students that are considering an Apprenticeship in the IT industry. The students will have the opportunity to talk to apprentices about their personal experience as well as a chance to oversee and get involved with practical demonstrations and activities.
Each day, Remit will champion an industry to promote and share careers advice and job opportunities available with employers.
Monday – Automotive industry
Tuesday – IT industry
Wednesday – Business/Service industry
Thursday – Hospitality industry
Friday – Health & Social Care industry
Throughout the duration of the week, the Remit team will visit apprentices and their employers to celebrate their hard work, commitment and investment to Apprenticeships.
A collage of selfie style images will be shared on the apprenticeship blog, where apprentices and employers will have the chance to express their views and opinions online about advantages of Apprenticeships at https://www.facebook.com/RemitGroup.
Remit Training aim to contribute to the Government’s overall target to increase the number of employers offering Apprenticeships from 124,000 to 140,000 and will continue to work closely with schools, parents and young people to provide information, advice and guidance for Apprenticeship routes into the UK industries.
Commenting on National Apprenticeship Week, Sue Pittock, Chief Executive of Remit Training said, “We’re really looking forward to supporting this year’s Apprenticeship Week. We encourage as many of our apprentices, employers and partners to get involved and share their positive experience and reasons for choosing apprenticeships to support career and business aspirations.”
Remit’s recent Ofsted grade 2 achievement will enable the business to further explore opportunities to support young people into employment through Traineeship programmes.
