Schools Out, get the talent in!August 9, 2016
With a number of young school leavers in the Nottingham area keen to start a career in the motor industry, Remit Training held an Automotive recruitment open day in Nottingham city centre this week.
A group of positive, enthusiastic young individuals arrived who were looking to learn more about Automotive Apprenticeships, what opportunities were available locally and prepare themselves for the world of work.
As well as completing a standard set of interview style questions, which helped to build a profile for each individual that can be used to showcase their drive and talent, they were also able to sit their initial assessments along with their Mechanical Competency test.
These results demonstrated we had met some fantastic candidates from a pool of fresh talent, which this thorough screening process represents the first stage of our recruitment process and allows us to present work ready applicants to employers who either already have vacancies or who are thinking about taking on an apprentice in the area.
The event overall was very positive, helping and informing the attendees in a relaxed environment.
15 year old Joshua has always been involved in the family business of importing, restoring and selling cars. With plans to learn more about servicing and repair he is keen to have a career in the trade.
He said, ‘Today was really good and helpful. (Remit) has made the effort to come and talk to us and do this all with us. It’s brilliant, especially as I just thought you be telling us about vacancies.’
If your business is interested in taking on an apprentice this summer and would like to know more about our dedicated Apprentice Recruitment Service get in touch today and have the pick of some great fresh talent.
